Lovin' Those Listings
Getting people to read the listings in your custom paper is important. As we all know, highlighting your best properties will undoubtedly help your business grow. If you’re not careful though, your publication can start to look jumbled and confusing, ultimately making the publication less effective.
For many of our clients, listings pages prove to be their biggest challenge. How can you cram in all the information and make them stand out? How can you be sure to maintain the attention of your publication’s readers with all those technical specs?
First, be sure to list a wide variety of properties to appeal to your entire audience. While your reader may not be in the market for real estate, they may have a friend, sibling or child who is. So get them interested… here’s how.
Use some of these proven techniques to add a little flair to your pages.
- Mix it up. Offer a paragraph and photo of a couple featured properties mixed in with your listings one edition and a full page featured property the next.
- Make sure the pages reflect your unique brand and presence.
- Use visual elements to draw their eye. Include a web address, a call to action or a featured property to break up the space.
- List prominently your “solds.” Showcasing your expertise and success within the market can be a real boon to business.
- Keep your publication’s design balanced and consistent. This will help ensure readers receive a coherent message.
